German Sawmills To Cut 15% More By 2015
Half of the German sawmills expect a deterioration of the log supply and rising log prices (on average by 12 percent) up to 2015. This is one of the results of a new survey of the consultancy Schwaerzer & Partner from Munich presented at the 2012 sawmill congress of the association of the German sawmill and wood industry, VDS. At the same time, 46 percent of the respondents indicate that they intend to increase their production volume by an average of 15 percent.
